Minutes
from June 11, 2009 meeting and
completed/tallied survey form ("what's
new" and "minutes and financial"
section)
Attached is new Survey form with correct
priority.
Cudos to:
a. CAB & SHAB team for all the
wonderful improvements to the Community
during the year! Look forward to more
as monies & time permits!
b. David did an amazing job of
going through the budget, thoroughly and
in detail. Everyone present was pleased
and I believe received a better
understanding of how much, why, and so
on. And, as usual, his diplomacy &
charm prevailed in all conversations!
Thanks, David!
c. Pam Booth for a
job-well-thought-out & implemented on
our 2009 Survey. This contributed
tremendously to great and positive
discussion at the meeting!
Meeting discussions:
1. Bathroom in basement. Floors
are slick & slippery – need something to
hold onto and solution to make them less
slick.
2. Pool tags – cheaper version –
we could print them ourselves (I can do
it on my printer in a thicker kind of
different-colored cardboard each year up
to 8-1/2 x 11)
3. Be sure pool hours are posted.
4. When someone is using the pool
for a party or group or more than 10??
Or more??? People, need to reserve in
advance by posting it on-line on the
website calendar. Should person notify
Clubhouse caretaker?
5. Before opening pool each year,
we need to organize a general pool
clean-up – didn’t get that done this
year! Everyone too busy.
6. Sensor lights – check their
sensitivity source – possible spider
webs?? Dogs?
7. Owners of vacant lots need to
bush-hog – diplomatic approach, then
County can handle if it comes to that.
8. Discussed use of Clubhouse with
paying, which is happening because keys
are out there. Board can talk about
this.
9. Voted on 2009 Survey priority
results. Motions were made to vote and
votes (including absentee ballots) were:
A. YES 42 votes CAB Items – changed
priority order: moved “Add weed control
to island mulch beds” to #2 changing
order of items with “Mulch community
islands annually” as #3, etc.
NOTE:
Had long discussion about weed control
– how Round-up just doesn’t do the job
– need professional blend, which is
difficult to do – TrueGreen (who does
Patty’s yard) is contacting David about
professional weed control JUST IN BEDS –
we will also shop others for a pricing,
of course!
B. YES 42 votes SHAD items:
priority order remained the same
C. Undecided items remain just that
D. Items not wanted:
1. “Pay for Cable TV/Satellite in
clubhouse” - NO 35 votes
